9/11 Boatlift 20th Anniversary Tribute

In partnership with operators and nonprofit supporters of the Port of New York and New Jersey, the New York Council Navy League is honored to present the 9/11 Boatlift 20th Anniversary Tribute, which will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Robert F. Wagner Jr. Park in Battery Park City, Manhattan.

This event is being held to honor the heroes who participated in the world’s largest maritime evacuation and will include a shoreside ceremony, vessel procession and blessing of the fleet. Scheduled speakers are The Honorable Kirsten Gillibrand, United States Senator, Admiral Karl Schultz, Commandant of the Coast Guard, former Director of Port Commerce at the Port Authority of NY/NJ and retired USCG Rear Admiral Rick Larrabee.

Joining us in this event are the Transportation Institute, American Maritime Partnership, The American Club, Towboat and Harbor Carriers Association, Passenger Vessel Association, Port Authority of NY/NJ, Sandy Hook Pilots and the Seamen’s Church Institute. Special thanks to Battery Park City Authority for the use of Wagner Park.
