Coast Guard Reserve Birthday

The United States Coast Guard Reserve is the reserve component of the United States Coast Guard. It is organized, trained, administered and supplied under the direction of the Commandant of the Coast Guard through the Assistant Commandant for Reserve. The civilian reserve was established in 1939, then replaced by the military reserve in 1941. Their motto is "Professionalism, Patriotism, Preparedness!"

Happy Birthday to Assistant Commandant for Reserve (CG-R), Rear Admiral Todd C. Wiemers, USCG, and the 7,000 members of the Coast Guard Reserve.
