The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Memorial Association is proud to include the New York Council Navy League in their wreath laying and ceremony at the Monument in Manhattan’s Riverside Park once again. Since 2004, the Monument has served as the site of the city’s largest Memorial Day observance, honoring all those who have served our nation in war. Hundreds of New Yorkers, as well as local leaders, veterans and members of the armed forces, attend each year. Council President James Spear, accompanied by our sponsor, Walter B. Cooke Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial provider, will present a wreath on behalf of the Council.
